The catheter material is PEBAX7033 + 20% Bismuth Oxide Chloride + 3265U.
This is a catheter product independently developed by BOVA based on customer needs. It was very challenging, but the customer was extremely satisfied after delivery.
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) catheters are core consumables for endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases. Traditional three-lumen catheters typically have separate contrast chambers, guidewire chambers, and aspiration/irrigation chambers, while single-lumen designs represent a significant optimization of both function and structure.

This gradient structure retains three lumens at the distal end (head) and shrinks to a single lumen at the proximal end (tail) (only the guidewire lumen is connected), perfectly balancing the functional requirements and tactile feel during ERCP:
Distal Three-Cavity: Retaining Full Functionality and Adaptability
The head three-cavity system can simultaneously meet the three core functions of guidewire guidance, contrast agent injection, and fluid aspiration/irrigation. It can complete operations such as cannulation positioning, contrast imaging, and secretion aspiration without changing instruments, adapting to the entire process of ERCP diagnosis and basic treatment.
Proximal Single-Cavity: Optimized Push and Mechanics Transmission
The tail section shrinks into a single lumen (guidewire lumen only), eliminating the multi-lumen septum, resulting in more uniform force distribution on the tube wall. The efficiency of force transmission from the PEBAX material is greatly improved, providing the operator with a clearer feel and more direct force feedback during pushing and rotation, thus avoiding the common problem of "proximal force exertion and distal lag" in multi-lumen tubes.
Gradual transition: Seamless adaptation to cavities
The smooth, stepless transition section in the middle ensures the unobstructed flow of the guidewire lumen and avoids stress concentration caused by abrupt structural changes. It is less prone to kinking or jamming when the guidewire passes through the tortuous lumen. At the same time, the outer diameter is gradually optimized from the distal to the proximal end, further improving the passability.
